Yesterday was quite the day. The whole day seemed like it was out to get us - at least for the beginning, well, yes the whole day. Nothing seemed to be going our way, at all!!!

Or at least it seemed that way.

First, Stephen's new job which we thought would be a great thing took a turn to where we've been wondering if it was right all along, or if God just had to show us a couple extra signs that it wasn't what was best for now. Which is kind of a relief, but at the same time, not. We're still in the process of praying about whether he'll start the job or not.

(so that has all been kind of depressing, not knowing anything) But, I'm sure its another test to see whether we'll be able to trust God through and through - and let Him prove, once again, that He's able to see His plans accomplished. We have so many stories already of how He has brought us through times that seemed impossible - but they always work out. Its the initial trust factor.

Then I was scheduled to play for my first solo & ensemble - and not knowing what to expect I left early to make sure I got the the place on time. When I had almost arrived, they called me to say that he was scheduled to play an hour and a half later than what I had been told. :( So I ended up sitting in the car, waiting the whole time.

The upside was that his solo went better than it ever did at our practices at our house. I think the piano is partly to blame for that. (our piano is tuned flat) So I was happy with the way it went and how he did. :) You want the kid to do their best, and for me, I'm going to work on helping them achieve that.

I was quite tired after finishing his solo but it was time to head to another ensemble practice (but this time with friends!)...and since I was in the Woodlands, we thought there was a faster way to get out of there, but no, it just ended up being something else that made me tired - driving around in circles.

BUT, the evening was lots of fun talking and chatting with the Crenwelges and Jonathan (and eventually Hannah).... We missed the rest of you!

Last time I checked, music doesn't come with markings labeled "laugh here" and "laugh there"... :D

Baby Joel---err, Daniel...I keep wanting to call him baby Joel for some reason... has been an active little guy today especially. I'm not sure he's ever been asleep for more than 30 minutes to an hour. I've really felt tired and out of it today (staying up until 2am didn't help I'm sure), so as I've been on the couch he's been kicking and moving all day long. Its kind of funny at times, and I wonder what he's doing inside.

I've had fun starting this new blog, and now, since I'm sitting in the sun enjoying the beautiful day, I think I'll paint my toes. :)
