Here comes Christmas! Tomorrow we leave for my familys house for Christmas and I know there will be lots of food around, but I'm going to do my BEST to keep to the plan. There's been plenty of times I've said "Its Christmas....Its thanksgiving...Its a birthday..." and ate whatever I wanted. So, guess what, the food will ALWAYS be around. Its time to say NO and do what's best for yourself.
I feel like I haven't been eating the smartest, but I've been doing a lot better than I normally would. :)
I need to find a thread and see how people generally divide up their points during the day. Like breakfast x points, snack x points, lunch etc. What do you DO? I'm not sure what I'm doing so far.
But I'm finding that I tend to eat more during the late afternoon and then when hubby comes home, then dinner again. So I need to watch what I eat in the morning and late afternoon. Maybe more water to sip on to keep from snacking.

Weight Watchers
So I joined online WW again - this time NOT pregnant. haha And I'm going to be writing down my thoughts and how things are going here. So if you DON'T want to hear about it, go away. Or something. ;)
WEEK 1
So I lost 2lbs this week. Hopefully that's not just because I finished nursing and the normal fluctuation of body weight. Its been challenging because I've had 2 Christmas parties and a date night with my hubby. For one of the parties I planned ahead and saved most of my points for the evening - yay me! And that worked well.
For another I mostly did the same thing, and tried to eat well, but kind of failed. :( But I DID track it all, so at least I was faithful in that.
This week is Christmas week here in our families. Christmas starts tonight for the in-law family and tomorrow is Christmas dinner, and then christmas with my family later on this week. So its going to be hard.
In other news, I discovered that progresso light soup is REALLY good!!!!! Yay for low point soup that DOESN'T taste like canned soup, and Steamers vegetable bags. Mmm. :)
I love eating eggs in the morning, they have a high point counts, but that's ok. At least they're good for you.

Thoughts on Mark
Mark 4:18-20
"And these are they which are sown among thorns; such as hear the word, and the cares of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, and the lust of other things entering in, choke the word and it becomes unfruitful. And these are they which are sown on good ground, such as hear the word, and receive it, and bring forth fruit, some thirty, some sixty, and some a hundred."
So, I, to me, sound like a seed sown on thorns. I feel like I get way too caught up, worried, and concerned with the cares of the world and don't have a burden for lost souls. I lust after having a good life, a good name and reputation....and then God gets choked out.
OR, is it my concern as a mother to provide for her children and want them not to suffer or want for food/stuff. Yes, ultimately, I want to bring forth fruit, have my children love the Lord, but I don't want to be unfruitful while I'm at it. Like a selfish person who just takes care of themselves and no one else. I want to NOT be caught up with stupid stuff and worried, but go wherever the Lord wants me to go and do. I'm tired of being worried about food, clothing, losing weight etc.
Sigh.
So what do you think about that verse?

38.5 weeks!
I'm 38 weeks along and so there's not much more time before this littlest little man makes his arrival. I'm looking forward to not being pregnant anymore. :) It's been so smooth though, I have nothing to complain about. Found out I was 16 week instead of 12, basically skipped morning sickness, only gained around 20lbs so far, and he's been great all along. We're planning on having him at home, and so I'm looking forward to seeing how that goes.

Daniel has been growing so fast in the last month. He's 10 months old now and speeding around the house crawling as fast as he can. He went from 0-60 in 2 weeks. He started with a little army crawl and then he decided that wasn't fast enough and got to his hands and knees in no time. From there he just shot through pulling up on everything, learning to explore and chew on his bed, following me everywhere, and barking his little "woof woof" bark and every dog he hears.
We have some dogs across the street, and downstairs, and he is infatuated with them and loves crawling to the window to look out and "woof woof" at them.

This is Daniel's little brother. :)
Little Jonathan Samuel is due July 2. I'm hoping for a little July 4th baby. <3 Daniel is looking forward to having a little guy to play with and have a little friend to share with. Daniel is extremely social and looks forward to anytime someone comes to the house, and I know he'll love having a little brother and playmate. I can't wait to pretend their twins when they get to be about the same size. :D Stephen and I are looking forward to a trip to see both our brothers in California and attend one of my best friend's wedding in Idaho. I'm so ready for a trip/vacation and get away for a little bit. We've finally got our suburban all ready for our 6000+ mile trip and I'm ready to start packing!

New news
So lots has been going on! Earlier this month Stephen and our friend Steve had a 60 mile canoe race from Austin to Bastrop. It was really fun to keep up with them and meet them along the way, and help try to keep them from freezing to death. It never got above 50 degrees and sprinkled/rained the whole entire day. It didn't help that the race started at 5am. :)
Daniel is growing like a little weed - so many things he's been learning recently. Waving, pulling up, figuring out how to crawl forward instead of backward. :P He's still working on that though. Eating like a little pig. <3 Sweet as everything though.
Christmas time was nice, in which we announced that come July, Daniel will be a big brother. :) Baby Fuzzy is due July 2, so it would be really fun if the baby was born July 4th! Yay!
We're planning a nice looong trip across the country in April - driving around 6000 miles! A crazy long way, but we're excited about it. We're heading to Idaho for my friend Denise's wedding and then visiting other friends along the way.
We're hoping to purchase a new car this week or next! YAY! I can't wait to have a car to drive again! It's been about a year since I've had a car. We're looking to get an '02-'04 suburban. We found a great little place to look for suburbans, so I'm excited.
Life is staying very busy!
